Profile

Radana started playing the piano in 1985. Later on in 1991 she commenced playing the guitar and in 1993 the cello.

She was a member of a choir since 1990 and since 1995 a choir piano accompanist. She regularly performed at various concerts as a solo pianist or an accompanist.

From 1997 till 2002 she was studying a Master’s degree in music and pedagogy (teaching and education) as a teaching profession at University of Palacky in Olomouc (The Czech Republic).

Whilst at University she was teaching children and future primary school teachers the piano.

After finishing her Master’s degree in 2002 she moved to England where in 2003 she founded Aylesbury piano. She was teaching children from the age of 3, her oldest student was 67. She also taught music theory, music theory classes for children, music theory classes for adults and piano and music fun classes which were taught in small groups of 3-5 students. She successfully entered her students for ABRSM piano and music theory exams with 100% success rate. Since establishing Aylesbury piano Radana earned a reputation as the leading teacher within the area resulting in an extensive student waiting list.

In July 2009 Radana immigrated to Samford, Australia and founded – Samford Piano.

Radana is happy to teach all levels and abilities but is the happiest starting a new student as a beginner in order to avoid incorrect technical habits from other tuition.

Radana prepares her students for the AMEB or ABRSM exams but she understands if the students are not willing to take exams and play purely for enjoyment.

Reference for Radana Tucker.

I have received piano lessons from Radana Tucker for about 5 years. She is clearly an accomplished pianist, capable of teaching at a high level, certainly well beyond my standard. More importantly, as an adult learner I have needed a teacher such as Radana with great patience – since technique, timing and rhythm do not come easily to me. Radana has been an excellent piano teacher and I wholeheartedly recommend her to students of all ages.
